This is a fantastic way to see some of Darwin’s best attractions before you experience The Legendary Ghan.

DAY 1: Saturday or Tuesday
Darwin
After making your own way to Darwin it’s time to check in to the Darwin Central Hotel, your base for the next four nights.

DAY 2: Sunday or Wednesday
Darwin
Today hop on and off the Tour Tub, a fun open-air bus that operates an hourly route around Darwin city including stops at the Indo Pacific Marine, the Pearling Exhibition, the Botanic Gardens, Aquascene Fish Feeding, East Point Military Museum, Art Gallery and more. (Not included: admission costs to attractions). Choose your stops or simply remain on board the bus and enjoy the informative commentary.

DAY 3: Monday or Thursday
Litchfield National Park
Join your coach tour to Litchfield National Park today. This waterfall wonderland is less than two hours from Darwin. View Florence Falls from a high vantage point then make your way down the stairs to the plunge pool. Move on to the magnificent water cascades of Tolmer and Wangi Falls where you can take in the scenery or enjoy a leisurely swim. The guided walks through the bush and monsoon vine forest areas are as interesting as they are beautiful.

DAY 4: Tuesday or Friday
Darwin
Today is yours to relax, shop or simply look around this warm and cosmopolitan city. Why not join an optional tour – see pages 9-12 of the Green Seasons brochure for further information.

DAY 5: Wednesday or Saturday
Join The Ghan in Darwin to Katherine
This morning it’s time to join The Ghan where you’ll travel South to Katherine and stop for around four hours giving you enough time to look around town or enjoy a spectacular Whistle Stop Tour at Katherine Gorge. (LD)

DAY 6: Thursday or Sunday
Alice Springs
After arriving in Alice Springs in the morning you’ll have time to look around town. Or if you prefer, you might like to join a Whistle Stop Tour before reboarding the train and enjoying the desert scenery as you continue your journey South overnight. (BD)

DAY 7: Friday or Monday
Arrive Adelaide
Enjoy one last breakfast on board before ending your holiday at
Adelaide Parklands Rail Terminal. (B)
